SANDY, Utah – Real Salt Lake forward Rubio Rubin continued his hot streak for RSL with a beautiful bicycle kick in the first half against San Jose.
Late in the first half, Rubio Rubin got the ball into the box on a throw in that set up the bicycle kick to give RSL the lead.
When the ball was thrown in, it went to Damir Kreilach, who headed the ball to Rubin. After the ball got to Rubin, he bounced it off his chest before forming the bicycle kick and the ball went into the back of the net to give RSL a 1-0 lead over San Jose in the 43rd minute.
Rubin scored his third MLS goal in as many games this season after getting a brace in the home opening win over Sporting Kansas City last week.
Rubin signed with RSL on January 7, 2021 after spending the 2020 season with the San Diego Loyal of the United Soccer League.
