SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Minnesota United FC head coach Adrian Heath fired shots at RSL goalkeeper David Ochoa following a scuffle after the game.

David Ochoa and RSL picked up a 2-1 win on the road over Adrian Heath and Minnesota United FC but what the young goalkeeper did after the match led to the critical comments postgame.

Ochoa had the ball in his hands when the final whistle blew, giving RSL the full three points when the 20-year-old turned around facing the goal he was protecting and kicked the ball into the supporters section.

From that point tempers flared as the home side tried to confront Ochoa but RSL players stood in the middle. After the match, Heath joined the Minnesota television broadcast for a postgame interview.

“The goalkeeper just turned around and booted the ball at our fans and to our supporters which is a no-no, we all know that,” Heath said of Ochoa. “He’s got some edge to him for a kid that’s not that good.”

As the scuffle was going on, former RSL defender and current team broadcaster Brian Dunseth encouraged the players to walk away.

“Walk away RSL. Not worth it. He’s not going to punch anybody, he’s not going to do anything, just walk away, you lost,” Dunseth said as the scuffle was going on.

Real Salt Lake will return to Utah for their home opener on Saturday, May 1 at 12 p.m. MDT on KSLSports.com or the KSL TV app.
