Game Night Live Rewind: 5A Boys Basketball End Of Season Awards

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Great basketball was played throughout the state an in particular the 5A classification in boys high school basketball.

The Game Night Live Rewind crew handed out their end of season awards, including the 5A MVP and the 5A Coach of the Year.

5A MVP: Noa Gonsalves, Lehi

Noa Gonsalves had a tremendous season for Lehi, averaging 18.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game.

The Pioneers had a 17-8 record in 2021 and beat Farmington to win the 5A state championship.

5A Coach Of The Year: Quincy Lewis, Lehi

Quincy Lewis jumped back into the high school coaching ranks after a stint as an assistant coach at BYU. In his first season at Lehi, Lewis took the Pioneers to a 17-win season and a state championship.

5A The Elevator: Collin Chandler, Farmington

A special award given by the Game Night Live Rewind crew to Collin Chandler, who “elevated” his game. Chandler is one of the best basketball recruits in the state of Utah. After the 2021 season ended, he averaged 22.3 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game.

Farmington ended the season with a 19-8 record before falling to Lehi in the state championship game.
